Dear Chrissy, thank you for sharing your problem here with us and setting interesting questions. Please note that it is not recommended to use the UFO™ 2 without the UFO™ 2 activated masks covering the metal plate. You can, however, use the lights on your UFO™ 2 by holding the device above your skin to shine the light over your skin. However, it is not recommended to press the bare metal plate (without any mask covering it) while the heating or cooling options are turned on against your skin. Regardless of your UFO™ 2 device not having a yellow light, you will still get to experience the same effect once you use it as we recommended in the sentence before. Rest assured that our masks contain ingredients that do not represent any threat as they are plant-based, biodegradable, and full of nutrients. Hope this helps! We wish you a nice week.
