Dear Susan, thank you for sharing your honest opinion. However, kindly note that LUNA™ 3 is our newest, upgraded smart device backed with an app, but it does not have to be necessarily used with it. Bear in mind that the app is here to enable remarkable treatments and options. Our app and product developers carefully invented them for our customers to get the best out of LUNA™ 3 and maximize their skincare effects. All in all, you do not have to use LUNA™ 3 with the app if you don't find it necessary or convenient, but we strongly suggest you do for achieving the best skin care effects. Have an amazing day!
